Role Summary

Join Our Team as a Senior Java Developer! At Zalaris, we are a rapidly expanding global leader in HR and payroll tech solutions, founded on Nordic values of inclusivity, innovation, and integrity.

We are thrilled to build a new Java team in Riga with ambitious plans to make it a leading center for Java expertise. As one of the first team members, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping, growing, and leading this team. Your expertise will also be invaluable as we embark on an initiative to transform and modernize our systems with cutting-edge technology.

Your Responsibilities

• Tech stack: work with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Frameworks, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, GIT repositories, and cloud solutions in Azure
• Design and develop robust, reusable microservices and secure REST APIs, ensuring top-notch performance and scalability
• Partner with project managers, developers, testers, and clients to transform business requirements into powerful technical solutions
• Write, test, and debug code, implementing end-to-end and unit tests for quality assurance
• Prepare and update project documentation, supporting effective team knowledge transfer
• Embrace new technologies, participate in peer code reviews, and contribute to ongoing R&D initiatives
  
  

Your Experience And Skills

• Core tech skills: Java 17+, Spring Boot/Spring Framework, object-oriented programming, design and architectural patterns, Kubernetes, microservices architecture
• Tools and frameworks: proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, NoSQL databases like MongoDB/Cosmo DB, Git version control, and Gradle
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take a leadership role, collaborate seamlessly, and communicate effectively
• Strong command of English
  
  

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with business domains such as accounting, finance, HR services, and payroll is a plus
• Familiarity with SAP, SAP HCM, and other comprehensive Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS) is an asset, but not essential
