IO Interactive is currently looking for a Character Artist (Intermediate/senior) to join Project 007, a brand-new James Bond video game to be developed and published by IOI. Featuring a wholly original Bond story, players will step into the shoes of the world's favourite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story.

As an integral part of the team, you will collaborate with directors, leads and other team members to achieve the creative vision of the project at the highest level of design. You will be involved in the initial design of graphics and technical considerations of implementation, and your goal is to continuously set new levels for character graphics in our 007 game, and push to the highest standard of the industry, together with your team.

What You Will Do

  • Create impressive and realistic-looking characters for our newly announced Project 007.
  • Own parts of the pipeline such as shading, texturing, modelling, cloth simulation or in-game setup.
  • Taking initiative for setting new benchmarks for character quality.
  • Work closely with technical animators using a mix of third party and proprietary tools; setting up character art for optimal execution and display in our in-house game engine.
  • Add the final touch and polish to already existing assets.
  • Support your lead and producer in the overall planning of the character art production.

Who You Are

  • You are a character artist with experience of working on at least two AAA titles in multiple stages of production
  • Able to create impressive and realistic-looking game characters. Strong understanding of anatomy and color.
  • In-depth knowledge of 3D modelling softwares like Maya, 3Ds Max and ZBrush.
  • Experience with texturing tools such as substance painter and designer.
  • Understanding of the details in character-making and subtle storytelling
