Job Title: Cybersecurity Operations Engineer

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cybersecurity Operations Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and optimization of security operations, including Active Directory (AD) management, endpoint security, and the maintenance of critical security platforms. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the resilience and integrity of our organization’s IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of Active Directory, including user and group management, GPO configurations, and access control.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents using SIEM and other monitoring tools.
• Manage endpoint security solutions, ensuring devices are protected and compliant with organizational policies.
• Administer and maintain security platforms, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and work with IT teams to remediate findings.
• Implement and enhance defenses against cyber threats, including phishing, malware, and unauthorized access.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into IT operations.
• Document operational procedures and incident responses for continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, with a focus on Active Directory management.
• Strong knowledge of endpoint security solutions and enterprise security platforms.
• Experience with SIEM tools and incident response processes.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management tools and frameworks.
• Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security practices.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or Microsoft Security certifications) are a plus.
