Make An Impact By

• Lead the team to operate and manage the IP core consumer network, inclusive of Nokia routers and switches, Huawei routers, Cisco routers and Juniper routers.
• Monitor and Take remedial action on pro-actively and reactively detected services and network infrastructure faults till closure.
• Mange the operation issues, escalate chronic/technically complex cases to the Vendors and follow-up till closure.
• Ensure that technical and managerial escalation and communication to stake holders are done whenever necessary.
• Documenting all Incidents and events through Incident ticketing system.
• Liaise and coordinate with internal stake holders, providers and partners to ensure swift and efficient resolution of faults.
• Schedule and execute pre-planned operation activities for new service provisioning, network optimization, software upgrade and so on.
• Impact analysis and process review on scheduled changes / faults / outage on provider and internal networks (e.g. fiber cuts, fiber diversions, hardware failure…) .
• Identify areas of improvements to reduce Infrastructure faults and improve monitoring capability.
• Generating daily, weekly and monthly report on Infrastructure fault rate and trending.
• Schedule and carry out network Infrastructure activities like new deployment of nodes and trunks to support the major network activity and business growth.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance like network device hardware and software upgrade.
• Deployment of best practice configurations in existing infrastructure.
• Up keeping of IP network infrastructure information and records,
• Budget and track the expenditures of the operation and maintenance activities.
  
  

Skills For Success

• Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Information Systems .
• Candidates with relevant working experience in design and operation, maintenance of IP networks of global service providers will have added advantage.
• Understanding of Internet routing protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, OSFP, ISIS, BGP, VLAN, MPLS etc
• Knowledge of routers/switches architecture and analytical and trouble-shooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification.
• Those who have the followings will have added advantage: Nokia Certified Network Routing Specialists (NRS I, NRS II) or Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) or Juniper certifications (JNCIA, JNCIS) or Huawei certifications (HCNA, HCNP).
• Goal oriented with good analytical skill, committed to deliver high quality outputs, effectively utilized team member to his/her full potential and motivates the team to work together in the most efficient manner.
