Job Title: Golang Engineer

Package: £70,000 - £90,000 + Bonus + Generous Benefits

Location: London (Hybrid – 1-2 days in office)

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-End Development

• Build, test, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems using Golang.
• Architect microservices to support millions of users and process terabytes of data efficiently.
• Collaborate on new feature development and ensure smooth integration with front-end systems.

System Optimisation & Innovation

• Drive performance optimisation by identifying bottlenecks and crafting robust solutions.
• Research and implement best practices for cloud-native applications.
• Keep abreast of emerging trends in software engineering, particularly within Golang.

Team Collaboration & Mentorship

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Product, and Data Science, to deliver on ambitious roadmaps.
• Share your expertise by mentoring junior developers and fostering an environment of growth and innovation.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in building backend systems with Golang
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong knowledge of containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and designing scalable schemas.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a passion for clean, efficient code.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Interest in mentoring, open-source contributions, or tech meetups.
