Software Engineer, YouTube, Front End

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• 2 years of development experience with programming languages, databases, and front-end technologies.
• Experience programming in Dart and Java.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s Degree or PhD in Social Science, Computer Science, or in a related technical field.

The Booking Ad Reservations Tool (BART) team charter is to support and grow the YouTube Reservation business, by building buying experiences for the associated premium products.These are Ads (e.g. YouTube Homepage, Pause Ads, Creator Takeover) that are booked at a fixed price with a guarantee to deliver.

These products used to be only available in a dedicated internal Buying door, however these experiences will be available natively into the two main Google external facing buying doors, which is unlocking more scale for the reservation business. The team is also building new product offerings directly into those external facing buying doors.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Tech Lead/Tech Lead Manager (TL/TLM) to help define features.
• Work with the Engineering team to design, implement and launch features to production.
• Be on-call and flexible enough for on-duty rotation.
