What do SafetyCulture Engineers do?
SafetyCulture engineers will work on new and existing products that directly impact the lives of our customers around the globe. You’ll collaborate with other team members to investigate design approaches and evaluate technical feasibility. You’ll write high quality distributed system software and drive engineering best practices. Working in an Agile/Scrum environment you’ll establish architectural principles and mentor team members.
SafetyCulture engineers are versatile, able to simplify the complex and remove obstacles so builders can build. When you join, you will work on projects that are critical to SafetyCulture, and our customers' needs. You will have opportunities to continue to grow and follow your passion as the business continues to evolve.

Essential Skills
- Depth of knowledge in a front end and back end coding language and associated libraries/frameworks
- Ability to own delivery of complex features, break down requirements and provide reasonable estimates
- Ability to articulate effort vs impact tradeoffs
- Ability to improve others’ ability to deliver great work
- Ability to demonstrate SafetyCulture values (Think Customer, Open Honest Always, Better as a Team, Be Bold Bring Action)
- Experience mentoring and teaching others
- Working with service-oriented/microservice architectures
- Experience working on server-driven UI, mono repos and gRPCs.
- Experience with key/value store and relational databases (e.g. DynamoDB, Postgres, MySQL)
- Building and running SaaS or cloud services at scale
- Equity with high growth potential, and a competitive salary.
