We are seeking a highly skilled Python Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large volumes of data and a passion for building high-performance systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. A background in trading or finance and experience with C++ are considered strong bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Python-based applications to process and analyze large-scale data efficiently.
• Build and optimize scalable systems for data ingestion, processing, and storage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions for high-frequency or data-intensive use cases.
• Integrate third-party APIs and tools to enhance system functionality.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and speed.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues as they arise.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in Python development, with a strong focus on handling large data volumes and performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data pipelines, and big data frameworks.
• Familiarity with message queues, caching systems, and parallel processing.
• Strong knowledge of software development best practices, including version control (Git) and CI/CD.

Bonus Skills:

• Proficiency in C++ for performance-critical components.
• Background in trading systems, financial markets, or quantitative analysis.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
