Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Software and Applications Programmer to join our team in Toongabbie, Sydney. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in programming, systems analysis, and application development. You will play a critical role in researching, consulting, analyzing, and evaluating system program needs to ensure high-quality software solutions that meet our organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

System Program Needs Analysis:

Research, consult, and evaluate system program needs to identify technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems, processes, and methods.

Application Development And Testing

Test, debug, diagnose, and correct errors and faults in application programming languages within established protocols, guidelines, and quality standards.

Ensure programs and applications perform according to specifications.

Programming And Maintenance

Write and maintain program code that meets system requirements, designs, and technical specifications in compliance with accredited quality standards.

Update and maintain technical program documentation, end-user manuals, and operational procedures.

Technical Advice And Guidance

Provide expert advice, guidance, and proposals for software design activities, including financial evaluation and costings.

Recommend software purchases and upgrades based on technical and financial considerations.

System And Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve existing systems and associated processes, procedures, and methods.

Implement strategies to optimize performance, scalability, and security.

Key Requirements

Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

2 years of relevant experience in software development, programming, and system analysis.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or equivalent.

Experience with debugging, testing, and error correction methodologies.

Knowledge of system design, application architecture, and technical documentation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
