Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Adviser to join our team in Sydney. As an HR Adviser, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our internal human resource services. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our employees, known as Polyglotters, are content, engaged, and motivated in their daily work. This role requires a strong understanding of Australian and French employment laws and regulations, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The HR Adviser reports to the CEO, liaises with the leadership team and understands the importance of Polyglot Group being a service provider.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on all HR related matters, including but not limited to employee relations, performance management, and recruitment
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, and update policies and procedures accordingly
  • Addressing employee queries and concern around Polyglot systems and processes
  • Supporting management in resolution of employee related issues
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting exit interviews and analysing data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Handle employee relations issues, conducting investigations and recommending appropriate actions
  • Conduct training and development programs for employees and managers to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems
  • Manage internal recruitment for all our offices globally (Australia, France, south Africa and USA)
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR to ensure the company remains competitive in attracting and retaining top talent
  • Handle any other internal HR related tasks and projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Australian and French employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills within a multicultural environment
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with international teams
  • Proven experience in handling employee relations issues and conducting investigations
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Fluency in English and French is essential.
