Network Engineer

Network Engineer - Infrastructure, Routing and Switching - Permanent - Vienna (Hybrid (2 days a week)) - Fluent English and German

Our client is seeking a network engineering professional to join their team and be responsible for implementing, planning and managing the network and security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will experience in network administration, infrastructure and security and well as solid knowledge of firewalls, routers, switches and WiFi.

Responsibilities:

• Management and optimization of network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, WLAN)
• Configuring firewalls and security protocols with an external partner
• Implementation and management of routing and switching technologies (Aruba)
• Monitoring and ensuring network security and the functionality of the systems
• Troubleshooting and support for network problems
• Collaborate with other IT teams and business partners to integrate new technologies and solutions
• Responsibility for the documentation of the systems

Skills and Experience

• Completed studies in computer science or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in network administration and security
• Solid knowledge of firewalling, routing, WiFi and network security
• Experience with common network protocols and technologies
• Certifications in the network area (Aruba/Cisco) are an advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
• Ability to work in a team, personal responsibility and good communication skills
