Frontend Developer (On site)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Developer with a strong focus on frontend development to join our agile release train. Our client is dedicated to delivering an incredible user experience to our internal and external users. The candidate will collaborate with a separate team that implements the business services through Ada and C++ backends and he will ensure seamless integration and functionality.

The products have been in active use (and development) for several years. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Typescript and React, or demonstrate the ability to quickly learn these technologies. In addition to technical skills, a strong interest and familiarity with design thinking is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver high-quality frontend software solutions based on provided architectural designs.

• Ensure the technical and functional feasibility of UI/UX designs within the constraints of existing business services.

• Implement best practices and contribute to the enhancement of frontend development workflows.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and deploy new features.

• Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies, trends, and frameworks.

Technical Competencies:

• Ability to interpret and apply architectural guidelines and technical decisions in development tasks.

• Proficiency in full stack development with a frontend emphasis, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions.

• Experience with JavaScript/Typescript, and React, or a willingness to learn these technologies quickly. Experience with Figma is an asset.

• Understanding of backend-for-frontend (BFF) patterns to facilitate integration with backend systems.

• Experience working with user documentation, including personas, scenarios, and mental models, is an asset.

• Experience with legacy service integration using exotic protocols is an asset.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or cloud environments is an asset.
