PHP Team Lead (Senior Level)

Role Description:

This is a full-time role for a PHP Team Lead (Senior Level) at PLC Group in Vilnius. The Team Lead will be responsible for providing technical leadership, making architectural decisions, ensuring project quality, and overseeing the development of features and functionalities.

Our Team:

• 5 developers (backend and frontend)
• 2 testers
• 1 project manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the team, distribute tasks, and ensure timely completion.
• Design, implement, and maintain the system architecture and technical solutions.
• Monitor code quality and conduct code reviews.
• Mentor and guide team members, helping them develop professionally.
• Collaborate with the project manager and other stakeholders to align tasks and objectives.
• Create and maintenance technical documentation.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in PHP Full Stack development, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Laravel 8 (or 9+), PHP, ORM, OOP, and OOD.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL (indexes, optimization, architecture).
• Frontend experience with Vue.js, Next.js, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (jQuery, Ajax).
• API development and integration (payment systems, delivery services, etc.).
• Experience with Git and knowledge of PSR standards.
• Experience with testing, PHP Unit tests, and code refactoring.
• Experience working with caching systems (Redis, Memcached.
• Ability to write clean, structured, and easily scalable code.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Proficient in reading technical documentation and communicating in English and Russian.
