Algora is looking for a Back-End Developer

Algora is a young Luxembourgish startup ready to disrupt wealth management with a bespoke Retrieval Augmented Generative AI platform. Working closely with our development partners has enabled us to build a prototype that meets our customer's needs. After winning Fit4Start and while currently closing our first investment round, we are now ready to on-board our first developers to accelerate the development of our MVP. We have a vision of automated reporting, dynamic data visualisation, and a digital clone of the financial markets bundled into one sleek platform. Can you help us bring it to light?

Our team currently consists of three co-founders who have been working on Algora for over a year. We are a very dynamic company with a flat hierarchy, where your contributions are sure to make a difference. We encourage excellence, dedication and mental agility. We discuss all major decisions with the whole team, and want to integrate our first employees as much as possible in the decision-making process. We have clearly identified a problem in the market and dedicate ourselves to building the solution that addresses it by focusing on our customer’s needs.

Tasks

We are looking for an experienced back-end developer with expert skills in Python. Besides building the databases, orchestrating containerized deployment and developing our API, we are building AI-driven solutions using technologies such as retrieval augmented generation (RAG), all within the Google Cloud.

Due to our small team size, you can expect to participate in the whole spectrum of back-end development, currently pressing tasks are:

  • Developing entirely new features
  • Testing and fine-tuning AI responses and the RAG pipeline
  • Designing and executing database expansions
  • Implementing new API functions
  • Implementing automated testing and improving documentation.
  • Improving text processing pipelines

Given our small team size, you will have direct input on all architecture choices of our product and engage in code review with the CTO and other developers. Further, we expect you to write clean, maintainable, efficient and documented code. We expect you to take a proactive approach, bringing fresh ideas and improvements to our current plans, while demonstrating the coding expertise and communication skills needed to drive their successful execution.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
  • Expert proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Excellent English, and proficiency in Luxembourgish, French, or German is an advantage.
  • Working experience and/or interesting personal code projects are a big advantage
