Job Overview
Iconsultera is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Entry-Level Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the security of our clients' digital infrastructure. You will monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents while developing your expertise in cybersecurity tools and methodologies. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events and alerts from various sources, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Assist in investigating and responding to security incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing mitigation measures.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation strategies.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Conduct regular security audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security awareness and promote a culture of cybersecurity.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Understanding of basic cybersecurity principles, network protocols, and operating systems.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as firewalls, antivirus software, and vulnerability scanners.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automating tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or CISSP (Associate).
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Experience with penetration testing or ethical hacking tools.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, GDPR, or NIST.
