Business Intelligence Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions that transform data into actionable insights. This role requires a strong background in data analysis, excellent problem-solving skills, and proficiency in BI technologies.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and deploy BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data models. Develop and execute complex database queries, conduct detailed analyses, and create interactive visualizations to support business decision-making. Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, integrate systems, and provide training and support on BI tools. Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure reliability, regularly update and improve BI systems, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation. Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.

Skills and Technologies:

• Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or Looker.
• Strong understanding of database management systems (DBMS) such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with ETL tools like SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), Informatica, or Talend.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or JavaScript.
• Experience with scripting languages for automation and data manipulation.
• Strong skills in data modeling, including star schema and snowflake schema designs.
• Experience with data integration and data quality management.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with project management tools like Jira or Asana.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based BI solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Certification in BI tools or data analytics.
• Knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics.
