Analyst- Benchmarking and Operations Analysis

Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., (ACT) is a global Fortune 200 company. A leader in the convenience store and fuel space, ACT’s retail network includes ~16,800 convenience stores, and has footprint across 31 countries and territories primarily under the Circle K brand. The Strategy and transformation team plays a key role in supporting financial and performance analytics and reporting as a part of Fit to serve and cost optimization program.

The hired candidate will partner with multiple business stakeholders , including Strategy and Transformation department , Business Units and Support functions.

About The Role

The incumbent will contribute to process improvement and cost reduction by providing support to Senior Managers in benchmarking and cost optimization with additional analytics, benchmarking, Data Visualisation, Program Tracking and reporting. Through both multi-disciplinary and collaborative benchmarking initiatives as well as Program tracking, the incumbent will support effective and informative presentations that will facilitate the decision-making process.

Roles & Responsibilities

Data Analysis

• Collect, validate, and analyze costs and procedures for a variety of functions within the organization
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of data, manage project planning and produce project reports;
• Identify key metrics, conduct rigorous explorative data analysis, create executive-facing dashboards and build business cases that drive decision-making and business prioritization
• Develop scalable and sustainable reporting tools for financial metrics
• Collaborate actively with immediate and cross-functional teams throughout the organization
  
  

Operational Excellence

• Ability to work conscientiously on confidential projects related to sensitive topics, which often challenge existing structures and processes and require organizational changes
• Creation of a knowledge sharing environment, collaborating effectively with a multitude of services, but also with a diversity of personalities
• Synthesize large volumes of data with attention to granular details, tracking of improved initiatives and present findings and recommendations to senior-level stakeholders, thereby ensuring objectives are achieved according to plan
• Achieve best in the industry standards by delivering actionable, data-driven insights that help understand opportunities for optimization and enable decision making
• Logging workflows, procedures, checklists, and policies related to different tasks assigned and other operational analysis.
• Identify relevant future initiatives, keep up-to-date with the different projects and organizational goals, and stay abreast of trends and best practices in the industry
  
  

Stakeholder Management

• Work collaboratively across multiple sets of stakeholders – Business stakeholders, Strategy and Transformation Department, to deliver on project deliverables
• Proactively recommend multiple approaches along with their pros & cons to the business stakeholders and support making the right decisions
• Ability to simultaneous support for multiple projects involving different teams and leaders
  
  

Job Requirements

Education

• Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Analytics, or Data Visualization
  
  

Relevant Experience

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in financial analysis and forecasting, corporate finance, reporting and data analytics
• Proficient in Power BI and Advanced MS Excel
• Experience with ERP’s and consolidated systems such as Longview and Hyperion
• Knowledge of Project Management and PMI framework
