Required Experience

• In-depth experience in working and supporting infrastructure.
• In-depth practical experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems in an enterprise environment. Experience in database administration like Microsoft SQL Server.
• In-depth experience in deploying and managing AWS or Azure based cloud infrastructure using immutable methodologies.
• In-depth practical experience in supporting enterprise IT infrastructure or business applications deployments.
• In-depth experience in network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP, NFS, SMB).
• Practical experience in developing scripts in PowerShell, Python and Bash.
• In-depth practical experience in managing infrastructure using Terraform.
• In-depth practical experience in configuring infrastructure components using Ansible.
• Practical experience in configuring operating system images using Packer.
• In-depth experience in using and supporting Git based development workflows in a team environment.
• Experience in traditional and agile development/project methodologies.
• In-depth practical experience in CI\CD pipelines.
• Experience in automated testing.
• In-depth experience in creating and maintaining container images.
• In-depth experience in operating Kubernetes clusters and configuring workloads with Helm and Kustomize
• Experience of leading a technical function.

Desired Experience

• Understand common best practice working methods, processes and tools, across the Infrastructure Platforms Team, in the ongoing development of the bank's cloud services.
• Ensure services meet the agreed non-functional requirements, such as service levels and availability.
• Stay current with modern technologies, development methods and trends relating to cloud technology and information technology more broadly.
• Produce technical documentation supporting the design and operation of the bank’s infrastructure operating environment.
• Ensure the platform is running in a cost-efficient way, without reducing resilience or increasing risk of service disruption.
• Ensure the bank's infrastructure is compliant with the relevant license agreements and regulatory obligations.

Required Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs grade A-C or equivalent qualification.
• Must have a minimum of 2 A 'Levels grade A-D or equivalent qualification.

Desired Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent, ideally in an IT related subject.
