Position Summary

Selkirk Sport is an industry leader in pickleball innovation, dedicated to creating high-performance products and exceptional digital experiences for players. As we expand our online platform, PlayPickleball.com, we seek a Backend Developer in Estonia to help lead our pivot to a full code framework, leveraging Astro and integrating with Palantir.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Backend Developer with 2 to 5 years of experience who is skilled in Supabase and backend architecture. This role will be responsible for managing the PlayPickleball.com backend and ensuring seamless integration with Palantir. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and scaling backend systems, working with databases, and collaborating with front-end teams to deliver high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend code.
• Manage and optimize the Supabase integration to ensure data synchronization and security.
• Integrate backend applications with Palantir’s platform, ensuring smooth data flow between systems.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to meet project goals.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues to maintain a high-quality backend.
• Optimize performance and scalability of backend systems as traffic and user base grow.
• Document backend processes and workflows to support future development and scalability.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 2 to 5 years of backend development experience.
• Strong experience with Supabase, including setup, management, and integration.
• Proficient in backend frameworks and languages, such as Python, Node.js, or similar.
• Familiarity with database systems and data modeling (SQL, NoSQL, etc.).
• Experience integrating backend systems with third-party platforms (Palantir preferred).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient English speaking skills
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience with cloud platforms (Supabase, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of frontend technologies (React, Vue.js) and how backend services support frontend development.
• Familiarity with pickleball and a passion for sports technology.
