Data Warehouse Engineer

pawaTech is looking for a DWH Engineer with a strong analytical mindset and a commitment to collaboration. As a DWH Engineer, you will play an essential role in our Data Domain team, crafting ClickHouse database structures in sync with our Data Warehouse model. Your expertise will drive seamless data integration, close collaboration with analysts and BI developers, and innovative approaches to enhance loading efficiency and design refinement.

The main responsibilities will be:

• Design and create database objects for the ClickHouse-based Data Warehouse;
• Integrate data from MySQL and MongoDB into ClickHouse efficiently;
• Collaborate with analysts and BI developers for seamless data fusion;
• Advise business analysts and DWH users on ClickHouse to enhance decision-making;
• Innovate ETL processes for efficient data loading into ClickHouse;
• Refine Data Warehouse design while maintaining data integrity;
• Participate in DWH projects including analysis, modelling, development, testing, and deployment;
• Stay updated on tech trends and integrate emerging tools for continuous improvement.

You will work on:

• Understanding of Data Warehouse architecture design principles;
• Differentiating Data Warehouse from Transactional Design Methodologies;
• Preferable experience with ClickHouse databases;
• Solid grasp of SQL syntax (any dialect);
• 3+ years of experience with relational databases;
• Experience in ETL (ELT) or data-loading tasks;
• Proficient documentation skills;
• Enthusiastic about learning new technologies;
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.

Beneficial skills:

• Participation in DWH projects as an ETL developer, contributing across development stages with data exceeding 1TB;
• Engaging with DWH stakeholders, gathering requirements;
• Familiarity with the BI tools landscape and hands-on exposure to any BI tools (Redash).
