General Summary

Our team works on a cutting-edge 5G+ modem within an ORAN-compliant base station System-on-Chip. We do system design, code models of operations implemented in hardware and firmware, create test vectors for our hardware and firmware colleagues, code automation scripts to reduce manual workload, code debug tools, and so on. Google "Qualcomm X100" or "QRU100" to see publicly available info on our products. We also explore features and algorithms for future firmware releases, and eventually for a future version of the modem.

Based on your skills, your interests and our needs, you will join our Systems Engineering or Software Engineering team as an Engineering Intern and help us make the best base station modem on the market. You will be assigned a mentor to guide you throughout the internship and you will learn how to work with a large codebase.

Key Technologies

• 5G physical layer: Implemented in hardware or software.
• Signal processing: Including beamforming.
• ORAN fronthaul packet processing.
  
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic understanding of communications theory or digital signal processing.
• Programming skills in C/C++, Python, or Matlab.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a cross-cultural team environment.
• Flexibility to work with colleagues in different time zones.
  
  
  

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Knowledge of 5G NR and LTE physical layer.
• Understanding of information theory, coding theory, adaptive filtering, signal detection and estimation, and digital communications.
• Programming skills in C, C++, or Python
• Experience with AI/ML algorithms and programming is an advantage
