Job Description

WhiteLab Genomics was founded with the belief that life-saving drugs should be accessible to all patients in need. United in our vision, we’ve become a part of Y Combinator, French Tech 2030, Future 40 by Station F, and we’ve been recognized by The Galien Foundation (”Best Startup” category), among other institutions at the forefront of technology. Today, we strive to become the leading expert in A.I. for genomic medicine, operating as the go-to partner for research and development.

Our Data Science Team accelerates discoveries in genomic medicine through advanced machine learning and graph knowledge technology. We specialize in analyzing exhaustive datasets to provide in-silico simulations for discovering and optimizing payloads and vectors. The innovative approaches we utilize enable precise modeling and prediction of biological processes, driving breakthroughs in genomic medicine.

As a Data Science Intern, you’ll work directly with our Data Science Team and you’ll be mentored by our Head of Data Science. Throughout your internship, you will gain hands-on experience in machine learning and contribute to our genomic data pipelines. You'll have the opportunity to help drive WhiteLab Genomics forward by assisting in the development of innovative solutions. At the end of your 6-month internship, you’ll present your findings and insights to all WhiteLab Genomics teams, showcasing the impactful work you've done and the skills you've developed during your time with us.

Preferred Experience

We’re Eager to Meet You If…

• You are currently in the 2nd Year of your Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, or Computational Biology
• You have prior experience coding in Python
• You possess comprehensive communication skills, curiosity, and have a proactive can-do attitude

• You’re proficient in English and you’re eager to dive into a multicultural workplace, where both English and French are spoken regularly
• A background in biology and/or computational life sciences would be a huge plus!
  
  

Here’s How You’ll Make An Impact…

• You’ll train and develop machine learning models, enhancing our data pipelines and contributing to our innovative projects
• You’ll work closely with our team of data scientists on genomic data, and you’ll actively contribute to various research & development initiatives
• You’ll support the creation and implementation of machine learning solutions, advancing WhiteLab Genomics’ internal R&D platforms
• You’ll participate in creating scalable computational data analysis systems for our genomic medicine datasets
• You will present your findings and discoveries with the WhiteLab Genomics teams, enhancing our collective knowledge and contributing to our overall success
