Job Title: Data Scientist - German Speaking - (Focus on LLM and NLP)

Location: Cologne or nearby areas

Salary: Up to €70,000

Work Setup: Flexible, 2-3 days a week in the office, the rest remote

About the Role:

I am currently working with a client who is seeking a talented Data Scientist to join their innovative team. This exciting role focuses on leveraging cutting-edge technologies, particularly in the fields of NLP and large language models (LLMs).

As a key member of the team, you will design, test, and evaluate algorithms and language models with a focus on natural language processing (NLP). You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to identify and analyse AI use cases, write and maintain production-ready code, and support the deployment process from staging to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, test, and evaluate algorithms and language models, particularly in NLP.
• Identify and analyse AI use cases in collaboration with internal teams.
• Write, test, and maintain high-quality, production-ready code.
• Work closely with colleagues to deploy solutions from staging to production.
• Contribute to the optimisation of costs and performance through AI and NLP solutions.

Key Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge and experience in state-of-the-art LLM (Large Language Model) libraries.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python.
• Passion for AI developments and new technologies.
• Solid understanding of MLOps best practices.
• Demonstrable experience with end-to-end implementation of NLP solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure is highly preferred.
• Master’s degree in STEM, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent in both English and German, spoken and written.
