Our prominent client is searching for a UX/V Designer for the Foundation Engineering team. Foundation Engineering enables the creation of mapping products that are highly available, performant, and near real-time.

The UX/UI Designer will be a contributor on the team to deliver digital maps to major automakers, for e.g. BMWs, VWs, Audi, Daimler. You will be helping teams to work on a technology to collect and process road information from many sources, terabytes of data, including car sensors from millions of cars on the road. Our services convert this input into a digital map which is delivered back to the cars and used for navigation, driver assistance and even autonomous driving.

Developers building new services will rapidly launch their differentiated prototypes leveraging templates that enforce security, availability, and efficiency best-practices with a minimal collection of service-specific libraries.

Who are you?

• At least 8 years of experience as a UX Designer, Creative Director or similar role
• Excellent UX and UI design skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to moderate and find solutions between multiple stakeholders
• Fluency in best practices for UX design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
• Excellent problem-solving skills, open to proactively understand and navigate complex technical dependencies
• Ability to simplify technical complexity into a logical information architecture
• The ability to design, prototype & specify UX/UI in static and dynamic ways.
• Good general experience in typography and data visualization.
• Strong technical knowledge of how web/mobile-based technologies apply to design. Strong knowledge of web and mobile paradigms on various platforms and screen sizes
• A high level of proficiency in standard UX design software tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Suite
• Experience with front-end technologies (CSS, HTML5) a plus
• Exceptional portfolio, with focus on UX and UI design for web, web-apps, mobile web and mobile native OSs
• Ability to work independently and pro-actively manage design tasks and projects.
• Experience working on B2B products and not afraid of technically complex solutions. BA/BS degree in Interface Design, Communications Design or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or equivalent professional experience
