Job Summary:
The ServiceNow Business Analyst acts as the primary link between business stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring that business requirements are effectively translated into ServiceNow solutions. The role involves gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements, facilitating communication, and ensuring the successful implementation of solutions that align with organizational goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and document business needs, processes, and objectives.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys to gather detailed requirements.
- Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improvement using ServiceNow solutions.
- Solution Design:
- Work closely with the ServiceNow development team to design functional solutions that meet business requirements.
- Create detailed functional specifications, user stories, and workflows.
- Ensure alignment of proposed solutions with business objectives and organizational goals.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure clear and effective communication.
- Facilitate regular meetings to provide updates on progress, address concerns, and gather feedback.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Testing and Validation:
- Assist in developing test plans and scripts to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for refinements.
- Validate that deployed solutions meet quality standards and function as intended.
- Training and Documentation:
- Develop user guides, training materials, and process documentation for implemented solutions.
- Provide training to end-users and stakeholders on ServiceNow modules and workflows.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements and platform enhancements.
- Monitor the performance of implemented solutions and suggest optimizations.
- Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure that all solutions comply with organizational policies, data privacy standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation for auditing and governance purposes.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years working with ServiceNow or similar platforms.
- Experience in process analysis, requirement gathering, and designing enterprise-scale solutions.
- Technical Expertise:
- Understanding of ServiceNow modules, such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, or CSM.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow platform capabilities, including workflows, forms, and integrations.
- Knowledge of business process automation and optimization in one of the enterprise domains (IT, HR, General Services, Procurement etc.)
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify business needs and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
- Proficiency in creating detailed documentation, user stories, and process workflows.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Certifications:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is preferred.
- ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
- Agile or Scrum certifications (e.g., CSPO) are desirable
