First Capital Summer Intern Program gives young professionals access to enriching opportunities to start and accelerate their careers. Our program is uniquely hands-on, allowing Interns to work alongside our leaders on exciting new projects and strategies. As a Data & Automation Intern, you will work closely with the Data & Automation team to support with incident response, knowledge management, and process automation initiatives. Your responsibilities will include managing assigned incidents, documenting processes by creating and updating knowledge base articles, and completing a process automation project aimed at improving team efficiency. Reporting to the Director, Data & Automation, you will also support testing, user training, and other operational tasks as needed.

What You Will Do

• Respond to incidents assigned to the Data & Automation team.
• Write and edit and knowledge base articles to support incident response.
• Execute on a Data & Automation project.
• Support IT team with ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned.
  
  

What You Bring

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Degree in Computer Science, Business Technology, or related program.
• Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and practices.
• Strong computer skills, including excellent command of Microsoft Apps (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
• Knowledge of Python for scripting and automation, and an understanding of relational databases, and SQL query authoring.
• Creative thinker with strong diagnostic and problem-solving competencies.
• Effective communicator with the ability to convey technical concepts to business users to assist with the resolution of their issues and enhance their systems knowledge.
• Detail-oriented with have strong documentation skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic environment and translate these skills into knowledge for the business or IT team and communicate new learnings to a broader audience.

Our Application Process

Our Summer Internships/Co-Ops are four-month, paid, in-person opportunities commencing on May 5, 2025, and concluding on August 22, 2025. Interns must be available on a full-time basis for the entire duration of the program.

Please note that the application deadline is February 7, 2025, at 5 P.M. EST. No applications will be accepted after this deadline, without exception. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and only selected candidates will be invited for interviews with our team. Successful candidates should expect to hear from us by late February once the application period has closed.
