Lead AI Engineer

An exciting opportunity to head the creation of an AI Platform for a global financial services company.

The Lead AI Engineer will oversee the design, development and deployment of the platform, ensuring it is scalable, reliable and high-performing. This role emphasises MLOps, machine learning standardization, GPU and cloud platform setup and data integrations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stay abreast of the latest AI advancements.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI platform development for scalability and set objectives.
• Implement MLOps practices to optimize the machine learning lifecycle.
• Enforce best practices for model development, testing and deployment.
• Manage GPU and cloud infrastructure for AI workloads.
• Create data integration pipelines for seamless data access.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers and platform engineers.
• Innovate by applying the latest AI and ML advancements.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

• More than 8 years of AI/ML engineering experience with a successful track record.
• Proficiency in ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow).
• Experience with GPU computing, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and infrastructure as code.
• Strong programming skills (Python, Java, C++) and data engineering experience.
• Evidence of good problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Expertise in AI platform development, ML best practices, and GPU optimisation.
• Experience with data integration pipelines and large dataset handling.
