2D/UI Artist for Steam Roguelike Deckbuilder Game

We are looking for a talented and creative 2D/UI Artist to join our team for a Steam-based roguelike deckbuilder game. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of creating dynamic, visually captivating 2D art and user interfaces, with a passion for contributing to an immersive gaming experience. You will work closely with our design and development teams to ensure the visual design and UI are cohesive and intuitive for players. Responsibilities:

• Design and create high-quality 2D assets for characters, environments, cards, and game items.

• Develop and implement user interfaces (UI) with an emphasis on usability and player experience.

• Create icons, buttons, splash screens, and other visual elements for in-game interfaces.

• Ensure the UI integrates seamlessly within Unity 3D, maintaining consistent branding and style.

• Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure smooth integration of visual assets.

• Work on dynamic visual effects, including card animations, transitions, and UI interactions.

• Keep up with industry trends and incorporate new techniques into the game’s visual design.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a 2D/UI Artist, with a portfolio showcasing strong skills in game art, UI design, and asset creation.

• Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and other 2D art software.

• Experience designing and implementing UI within Unity 3D.

• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, with the ability to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.

• Experience with creating and animating 2D sprites, icons, and other assets for games.

• A solid understanding of the visual style and design principles for roguelike and deckbuilder games.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with the development team.

• Passion for playing and designing games with a focus on delivering a great player experience.
