As a Release Manager, you’ll oversee the end-to-end delivery of software releases, from planning and development to full production deployment. Working remotely, with dynamic monthly meetups in Bristol, Dorset, or Hampshire, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure releases are reliable, timely, and deliver real value.

You’ll play a key role in fostering continuous improvement, removing blockers, and aligning teams to Agile principles while driving efficiency and scalability across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

🌳 Your Responsibilities

🌳 End-to-End Release Planning & Coordination:

• Plan and execute seamless software releases, ensuring alignment across product, engineering, and marketing teams.
• Manage dependencies, mitigate risks, and keep communication clear across all stakeholders.
• Actively remove blockers and ensure release momentum with cross-functional collaboration.

🌳 Continuous Improvement:

• Foster a culture of Agile values, empowering teams to self-organize and thrive.
• Identify inefficiencies and refine processes to boost team effectiveness.
• Encourage feedback loops and implement iterative improvements to drive exceptional results.

🌳 Beta Program & Testing Oversight:

• Define and prioritize beta releases with product managers, ensuring valuable customer feedback.
• Oversee beta testing activities and ensure feedback is actioned to align with customer expectations.

🌳 Release Quality & Documentation:

• Define release readiness criteria and ensure standards are met across every stage of the process.
• Maintain comprehensive release documentation, keeping stakeholders informed in real-time.

🌳 Stakeholder Management & Risk Mitigation:

• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align on goals.
• Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays or quality issues.

🌳 Process Optimisation & Automation:

• Drive initiatives to streamline release processes, automate repetitive tasks, and minimize manual intervention.
• Collaborate across teams to eliminate bottlenecks and improve release speed and reliability.

🌳 Agile & SDLC Integration:

• Align release processes with Agile principles and support the entire SDLC for efficient and scalable growth.
• Use data-driven insights to refine release management practices continuously.
