Junior Repo Trader

Garda Capital Partners (Garda) is a multi-billion dollar alternative investment firm with over 21 years of experience deploying relative value strategies across fixed income markets for institutional investors. Garda has offices in Wayzata, New York City, West Palm Beach, Geneva, Zug, Copenhagen, Singapore, and Scottsdale.

Garda is looking to hire a Junior Repo Trader who will be assisting senior traders in managing and executing repo transactions. This role is based in our Geneva office and will be a part of the Finance & Liquidity (F&L) team and will report to the Head of European Funding. The F&L team is responsible for providing financing and cash management solutions to the funds managed by Garda, and overall relationship management with all of the firm's trading, financing, and infrastructure counterparties.

Position Responsibilities

• Execute repo transactions with the team, make sure transactions are completed efficiently and on time
• Market research: analyze market conditions, interest rates, and liquidity to make informed trading decisions or assist in setting repo rates
• Risk management: monitor collateral and respect the management policies
• Trade settlement: make sure settlement is going though on time, and respond to enquiries
• Work closely with the rest of the team, learn market trends and strategies
  
  

Qualifications & Desired Skills

• Degree in Finance, Economics or similar
• Experience in funding or repo related role preferred but not required
• Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail, ensure transactions are completed accurately
• High-performing individual who has demonstrated they are self-motivated, with a high level of initiative and innovative thinking.
• Ability to work well alone and in a team setting
• Strong Excel skills.
