• Competitive salary ranging from $110,000 to $140,000 Per Year + Super per year depending on experience

We are working with a renewable energy company at the forefront of energy management solutions. The company is migrating from a legacy device platform to a new one, and we are looking for a Firmware Engineer to join the team in a permanent role. In this role, you will work alongside the Principal Engineer to help with the transition, focusing on Modbus integration and maintaining Embedded C code.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Intermediate to Senior-level Engineer with expertise in Embedded C, SP42, and Modbus. You'll be responsible for maintaining legacy systems and migrating them to a new platform, collaborating with a dynamic team to tackle complex challenges.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Working on firmware development and embedded systems for Modbus integration
• Migrating legacy systems to the new platform, focusing on performance and compatibility
• Collaborating with the Principal Engineer to ensure seamless migration of devices and integration of new technologies
• Writing, testing, and troubleshooting Embedded C code for legacy devices and new platform integration
• Addressing technical challenges related to system performance, compatibility, and operational efficiency

WE NEED YOU TO HAVE:

• Strong experience with Embedded C and SP42
• Experience with Modbus integration
• Experience working with legacy systems (experience with Java EE is a plus)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior engineers and cross-functional teams
• Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex firmware issues
• Experience working in a remote team environment with effective communication and coordination skills
• Strong attention to detail and focus on producing high-quality firmware

IT’S NICE TO HAVE:

• Familiarity with Java EE for legacy system integration
• Experience working with renewable energy systems or energy management solutions
• Knowledge of Agile or other software development methodologies
