Senior Software Engineer (Java, Spring, AWS, Financial Services)

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our client, a leading financial services company in Dublin. You will be part of their API Team, responsible for building and maintaining a robust API platform for accessing Digital Assets Services. This hands-on role involves collaboration across engineering, architecture, and product teams to deliver a reliable and resilient API offering that meets customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and document customer-facing RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements.
• Develop large-scale production distributed systems that support public-facing websites.
• Ensure software reliability and performance in dynamic environments.

Key skills:

• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in RESTful API design and development.
• Familiarity with WebSockets and/or FIX APIs is a plus.
• Experience with AWS services and infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of test automation, CI/CD, and containerization.
• Proficient in SQL and database management.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
