About the role

Our client is looking to replace an existing complex data warehouse system, that draws data from a Power Platform system, with a simpler Azure synapse-based system and a .Net API. The need multiple Senior Developers to be responsible for the development, working with other team members and a dedicated business analyst to complete the work.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and administer Azure DevOps services, including pipelines, repositories and artifacts to ensure efficient CI/CD processes and effective collaboration among development teams.
• Ensure solutions are developed and maintained in accordance with relevant standards and frameworks.
• Management of source code and iterative development of applications.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to produce application design and architecture artifacts.
• Develop and maintain technical specifications and as built documentation for supported applications and solutions.
• Translate and interpret system requirements in the form of functional specifications and/or user stories into technical specifications.

Skills and experience

• Microsoft Technologies: Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including proficiency in development languages and tools such as Dynamics 365, Power Platform, .NET Core, C#, Web API, and Visual Studio.
• Azure: Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure App Services, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL Database. Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes
• Azure DevOps: Experience in setting up and maintaining continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools. Knowledge of source control practices with Git.
• Database Development: Proficiency in working with SQL Server for database design, development, and optimization, including writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and using Entity Framework or other ORM tools for data access.
• API Development: Skilled in building and consuming RESTful Web APIs, integrating with third- party services, and implementing secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT).
