Your Role

We are seeking an experienced IP Network and Security Engineer to join our team as a consultant. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining IP network infrastructure and security devices to enable connectivity for various services across IT, cloud, corporate, and mobile platforms. This position will involve delivering solutions that are scalable, resilient, and cost-effective while ensuring compliance with security policies and best practices.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in IP network design and architecture, with the ability to contribute to the transformation of networks through Software-Defined Networking (SDN) capabilities, programmability, and service orchestration.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Architecture;

Develop technical solutions for network security devices and data center IP nodes.

Prepare High-Level and Low-Level Designs for new and existing infrastructure.

Ensure network designs meet capacity, scalability, and cost-effectiveness criteria.

Implementation and Maintenance;

Manage capacity expansion and software/hardware upgrades for network nodes.

Deliver infrastructure refreshes aligned with planning, design, and dimensioning guidelines.

Interface with operations teams to plan and execute network activities and interventions.

Oversee vendors and system integrators for implementing network and connectivity solutions.

Project Management;

Participate in local demand management forums to analyze and prioritize customer connectivity requests for domestic and international projects.

Provide updates on project progress and highlight risks to relevant teams.

Network Evolution and Innovation;

Contribute to the IP Evolution Plan by identifying limitations of current architectures and proposing solutions.

Support the transformation to SDN capabilities for faster service deployment, improved resiliency, and better supervision.

Your Profile

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or at least 5 years of experience in a telecom/IT organization managing large heterogeneous IP network infrastructures.

Solid knowledge of IP network design and architecture.

Expertise with network nodes and vendors such as:

Cisco ACI

Cisco Routers/Switches (IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS)

Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager)

F5 (LTM, GTM)

Experience in network automation programming (Ansible scripting preferred).

Certifications such as CCNP and CISSP are a plus.

Fluent in Portuguese and English (oral and written).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
