At Ad4 Octogono we are hiring.

We are looking for a Principal Java Developer.

Essential Knowledge:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Java Developer with 4 to 5 years of experience. The candidate must have the following skills:

  • Solid Java Development: Proficient in Java, with hands-on experience working with Spring Boot Framework and Maven.
  • REST APIs: Proven experience in building and maintaining REST APIs.
  • Database Management: Expertise in working with Oracle database objects such as Tables, Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers, and Packages.
  • Data Import Processes: Experience in importing processes to load external files into databases.
  • SQL Proficiency: Skilled in writing SQL scripts, with a preference for experience in SQL tuning.
  • Educational Background: University degree in technology, preferably in Computer Science.

Desirable Knowledge:

While not mandatory, the following skills are highly desirable:

  • Containerization and Version Control: Working knowledge of Docker, GitHub, and OpenShift.
  • Microservices Architecture: Familiarity with developing and deploying microservices.
  • Agile Methodology: Experience in an Agile development environment.
  • Soft Skills: Quick learner, team player, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with financial crime or cross-border payment concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities and Functions:

  • Development Environment Setup: As the Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for establishing the development environment according to project
  • Service Development and Deployment: Lead or assist in the development and deployment of services following project standards.
  • Database Management: An initial focus will be on the creation of database tables and associated scripts.
