Job Description

We're seeking an Application/Cloud Architect willing to relocate to Belgium to work on software design and development using Java/Angular technologies for the European Commission.

Additional Information:

• The position requires EU nationality (only EU citizens are eligible)
• Work location: Brussels
• Project focus: EC Transport and Business Cards systems
• Hybrid work arrangement available
  
  

Main Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot application architecture3
• Manage complex architecture and integrate heterogeneous systems
• Design and develop architecture components using cloud components
• Review existing systems architecture for cloud migration
• Perform technical migrations and data modeling
• Participate in technical working groups and progress meetings3
• Coordinate technical architecture implementation
• Produce software architecture documentation
• Ensure security and confidentiality compliance
  
  

Qualifications

Required Technical Skills:

• Good knowledge of Middleware systems and messaging services
• Expertise in Java, Angular, and JEE
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture
• Experience with relational databases
• Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, HTML36
  
  

Required Experience:

• Minimum 5 years expertise in Java
• Minimum 3 years expertise in Angular
• Minimum 3 years expertise in JavaScript
• Minimum 2 years expertise in Cloud architecture
• Minimum 5 years expertise in relational databases
  
  

Personal Skills:

• Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong analysis and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to write clear technical documentation
• Proven ability to give technical presentations
