Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

Overview

• An opportunity to work within the Front Office Platform team for this global financial services organisation. You will deliver technology solutions to Quantitative Development teams who partner with portfolio managers / trading teams providing technology and data-analysis consultancy and development.
• You should offer a minimum of 5-10 years’ exp. as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer or SRE that has worked on advanced systems extensively within other Investment Banks, Hedge Funds / Asset Managers, Financial Services or organisations with high performance platforms such as Energy firms or Media companies with Programmatic Trading.
• You will be involved in the build out of key platform features for Front Office; contribute to a modern, automated, cloud native continuous delivered stack; collaborate closely with quant development teams on the requirements for strategic internal products; Improve the security, reliability and cost efficiency of the Front Office platform and infrastructure; Automate as much as possible when appropriate; understand the nuances and challenges of developer experience for internal developer platforms.
• You should have a strong Platform Design & Architecture experience

Expertise Required:

• AWS Expertise with experience of working with CICD technologies plus an with an understanding of different deployment units – servers, containers, serverless.
• Background from an Investment Bank, Hedge Funds / Asset Managers, Financial Services or organisations with high performance platforms such as Energy firms or Media companies with Programmatic Trading.
• Must be strong on the design / architecture side of platforms as opposed to being predominantly Ops focussed.
• Cloud experience of AWS - Design & Architecture
• CI/CD Migration
• Automation scripting
• Highly proficient Linux
• Broad database knowledge
• Kubernetes, Docker, Serverless Framework, AWS SAM
• GitHub Actions, Argo CD
• Python
• Packer
• PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of Distributed computing and accelerator (ray/dask/jax...)

Qualifications

We require individuals with strong Platform Design & Architecture experience

Required Skills
