Job Description:

Join our Enterprise Front-end Development Practice, where you will be designing unique User Interfaces and pioneering digital experiences across various platforms. Our advanced and innovative teams spearhead the design and development of creative front-end solutions across multiple business lines and internal departments, ensuring that we remain industry leaders in UI development.

What Will You Do?

• Assist with the development and maintenance of web applications in collaboration with senior developers
• Work closely with designers, business analysts, and QA specialists to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions
• Participate in code reviews to gain insights and improve coding skills
• Contribute to project tasks from planning to implementation under the guidance of senior team members
• Implement improvements to existing code based on feedback to enhance the UI experience for users

What Do You Need to Succeed?

• 3 to 5 years of Professional, hands-on frontend development experience
• Proficiency with JavaScript/ES6, React.js, AXIOS, React Context, HTML, CSS/SCSS, Webpack, XML/JSON
• Knowledge of Design Systems (Storybook.js etc)
• Proficiency with Bootstrap, react-bootstrap or similar frameworks
• Experience with web accessibility guidelines, accessibility tools, and assistive technologies
• Proficiency with developer tools, system tracing and debugging technique
• Expertise in developing responsive web design and testing across multiple browsers, devices and platforms
• Experience building single page applications
• Keep up to date with trends and changes in the UI space

• Experience working in an Agile development environment

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
