About Syncio

Syncio is on a mission to make every online store one click away from collaboratively selling and sharing inventory. Today, over 13,000 merchants from 100 countries use Syncio to sync inventory across their expansion stores, retail partners, and marketplaces. We believe that collaboration is at the heart of commerce, shareable inventory supercharges collaboration, and ultimately creates a more egalitarian world.

We’re a high-growth scaleup (Deloitte Tech Fast50 Rising Stars 2021) that’s bootstrapped. We help thousands of merchants globally yet are still a really small team. You’ll be in the first 15 employees at Syncio. How’s that for potential impact and opportunity?

The role

Syncio is looking for a Product Designer to join the Product team and play a key role in designing and shaping not just exceptionally usable software, but the future of collaborative commerce.

Design is part of the Syncio DNA, and is in everything that we do - not just a part of product discovery and delivery. We look at design as a prerequisite to product management, and thus the Product Designer role will have an outsized influence not only on product management, but in other areas such as growth, and customer experience.

You will have a hand in all aspects of the product lifecycle - from discovery, scope shaping, testing, to post-implementation analysis and feedback. You will work with the rest of the team to refine and improve the UX through experimentation. This role is highly cross-functional, and you will have worked with everyone on the team in no time.

This is an exciting opportunity for product designer who is looking for a role that will amplify their ambition, who is hungry to climb a steep learning curve to become one of the best.

  • Work closely with the team to understand and guide the team on the customer needs and problems that they are experiencing.

Work closely with product and engineering to deliver on projects

  • Work in highly cross-functional, agile project teams to deliver on an ambitious product roadmap.

Raising the Design IQ within the team

  • Bring your design thinking to not just enhance the Syncio product, but improve the internal team organisation, processes, and experience.

Test solutions with customers to continually iterate and refine design

  • Always be iterating and learning how the customers are interacting with the product to keep pushing the standard of UX/UI at Syncio.

Build a world-class design practice

  • Build upon a strong design foundation and help shape how the design team grows in the future.

At certain times, expect to parachute into almost any role in the team and help execute!

Why join Syncio

We are building the next frontier of commerce; a new category called Collaborative Commerce. We believe that the best type of commerce is through collaboration, and this has been demonstrated through the history of civilisation. Think bazaars, marketplaces, even the ancient Silk Road.

Syncio enables collaboration by making the basic building blocks of commerce shareable across webstores. Think inventory, orders, product attributes, all the key information required for retail to operate. This allows merchants to create its own micro-marketplaces, become a super-distributor, expand globally, etc. We believe that the potential of collaboration will take us places unimaginable today.

In any given month, Syncio helps merchants sync USD $100M+ of order value for over 10K+ merchant stores across 100 countries globally. These are big numbers. And this is just the beginning.

Syncio is bootstrapped, profitable, and high growth. We believe this creates an ideal environment for you to do your best work yet - Syncio has the high ambition, high ceiling for you to grow in, but without the distractions that take you away from delivering exceptional work that makes a difference to your colleagues, customers, and the product.

How we do it

We have an internal culture memo called ‘The Way of the Synconaut’. We believe that in the work that we do, the best can be 10x better than the average. That’s what we’re all striving for at Syncio.

You’ll be joining a team that is serious about growth; as a team and as individuals. We do this to best cater to the thousands of merchants globally that we are privileged to help in their operations.

Syncio is a flat organisation that is remote-first. Everyone is empowered to make decisions; where prioritization and risk management are honed in the Syncio environment. Self-improvement is mandatory.

Our environment is ripe for ‘T-shaped employees’ to thrive. So much so, that If there is an end to your Syncio journey, we expect that you would have learnt enough to start a company yourself!
