Network Security Specialist (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for network security, aiming to safeguard the organization's network from unauthorized access and damage through strategic processes and advanced technologies.
• Develop and test security solution concepts (e.g., DDoS, WAF, firewall, proxy, IDS/IPS) in compliance with internal and external regulations, collaborating closely with relevant providers.
• Handle operational tasks, including consulting on and executing reverse proxy and load balancer requests, evaluating proxy/firewall activations, and overseeing approval processes.
• Oversee technical aspects of security solutions used by providers, perform capacity and availability planning, and act as a point of contact for end-to-end implementation.
• Contribute to budget planning for network security solutions.

Qualifications

• Completed training or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of network security technologies and solutions.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
• Independent work style, initiative, and a proactive approach to addressing errors and managing projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
