We’re seeking a seasoned technology professional to join our clients team and play a pivotal role in deploying and supporting highly distributed, multi-tiered systems at scale. What You’ll Bring

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology-related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science); a master’s degree is a plus.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience managing and supporting large-scale distributed systems.
• Expertise with Public Cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure.
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration tools like EKS, AKS, or Rancher.

Technical Expertise

• Strong experience designing and operating distributed, concurrent service architectures, including microservices, containerized services, and serverless systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages like C# or Java, with scripting experience in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
• Skilled in leveraging modern monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, and Splunk.
• Expertise in scalability, resiliency, and instrumentation for distributed systems.

Leadership & Problem-Solving

• A proven ability to handle production incidents with thought leadership and composure.
• Experience leading technical and operational strategies for production services, including root cause analysis, observability, and automation improvements.
• A hands-on approach to managing production bridges during major incidents, collaborating across teams to resolve critical issues promptly.

What You’ll Do

Reliability & Observability

• Define and implement a comprehensive strategy to ensure Fidelity’s systems remain highly reliable and available for our customers.
• Drive technical standardization and process optimization within the engineering and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams.

Operational Excellence

• Lead post-mortem reviews, providing deep technical root cause analysis and identifying opportunities for automation and observability enhancements.
• Serve as a key escalation point during major incidents, actively guiding resolution efforts across teams and infrastructure domains.

Collaboration & Coaching

• Partner with peer SREs and development teams to design and maintain highly available systems.
• Share expertise to foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
