WE'RE LOOKING FOR

An experienced Level Designer with a background in utilizing and building upon level-design-related tools within Unreal Engine 5:

In this role you will:

  • Master the procedure for creating high-quality Level Design content (tools, systems, ingredients).
  • Maintain solid communication streams with the Creative Director, production and tech teams to discuss creative improvement, planning deadlines and technical requirements.
  • Expand upon existing level design tooling and work with tech teams to build upon existing systems where necessary.
  • Conduct and report gameplay prototypes with related jobs (art, sound, animation, etc.)
  • Provide technical coaching to Level Designers with accessible and exhaustive documentation to ensure the application of good practices and methodologies.

This is a hybrid position. You will:

  • Balance technical level design work alongside standard level design work.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance for other Level Designers.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 4 years experience in Level Design.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the video game development process.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine 5 and other software relative to technical level design.
  • Knowledge of MMORPGs.
  • Strong experience of systemic and procedural approaches.
  • A great design sense, with strong communication skills, critical thinking and creative potential.
  • A team player with a willingness to share feedback and help other members of the team grow.
  • Strong analytical skills.

EXTRA POINTS

  • Experience building large open world environments.
  • Experience working on science fiction projects.

Regardless of your qualifications, these are a few things we're always looking for:

  • Passion. You love working on video games and are always looking to learn more.
  • A sense of humility and an ability to thrive in a team environment. You ask for help when you need it and you want to help your teammates when they need it.
  • A knack for time management. You know when to go deeper on a task, and you know when it's time to push through, finish a task and move onto the next thing. Quality is important, but time is finite.
  • A drive to execute. Projects you've worked on in the past (professional or hobbyist) were completed, and got completed properly.

WHAT WE OFFER
