Cyber Security Specialist

We’re looking for a driven Cybersecurity Engineer with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) or Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) environments. Key Responsibilities

• Work with operational teams to develop and enhance runbooks and procedures.
• Provide clear and timely security review reports on incidents and events.
• Participate in security testing under the guidance of the Risk Officer.
• Monitor and analyze SIEM events and trends, ensuring effective response.
• Support cross-team projects by sharing security expertise and insights.
• Contribute to ongoing reporting and documentation requirements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Minimum 1 year in cybersecurity, with hands-on SOC or SIEM exposure.
• Education: Professional qualification in cybersecurity (or equivalent).
• Technical Skills:
• Experience in security operations within FinTech or Public Sector environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring web services, infrastructure (network, Windows, Linux, databases), and cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Knowledge of runbook creation and process improvement.
• Scripting proficiency (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) is a bonus.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong communication skills, including stakeholder management and reporting.
• Team player with a proven ability to collaborate and deliver results.
