The IT Security Manager ensures that the operated IT solutions are protected against threats and cybersecurity risks. He/she constantly improves the security level and the awareness of the IT staff, by defining IT Security guidelines, workshops and consulting already within the development process. Through cybersecurity defense and offense capabilities he/she protects the company's assets and reputation.


Your tasks and responsibilities:


  • Providing support in establishing fully functional Security Operations Center, including infrastructure, processes and tools.
  • Analyse, assess, and defend against cybersecurity threats.
  • Monitor systems for irregular behaviour and set up preventive measures.
  • Develop, execute, and track security measures to protect IT systems.
  • Support the development, update and implementation of UI’s information security strategy.
  • Identify, define, and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management, as well as create security policies and concepts.
  • Manage IT security tooling (SIEM, Vulnerability Mgmt, SAST, etc.) and processes.
  • Security Incident Management.
  • Manage cybersecurity incident response activities
  • Taking part in on-call duty.


Your skills and experience:

  • At least 8 years of work experience with a focus on IT security.
  • Completed relevant university studies (Bachelor / Master in Information Technology or similar).
  • Active involvement in a Security Operation Centre (SOC).
  • Experience in developing security concepts, playbooks, security guidelines.
  • Excellent business English skills. German would be an asset.
  • Previous experience in working with Microsoft Defender Suite and Splunk.
  • Independent work ethic.
