About The Business Unit

The Buildings Unit (BLD) has a major presence in Mott MacDonald's regional offices throughout the UK and mainland Europe, providing a wide range of diverse and transferable cross-sector skills across five key Sectors; Advisory, Built Environment, Energy, Transportation and Water. We also provide local services to customers and technical leadership to the rest of the Group in these sectors.

Overview Of Role

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Construction Project Manager for providing project and cost management services of a data centre project in Ankara. The candidate will lead multidisciplinary project teams on-site, interface with clients and other stakeholders, and be responsible for managing project deliverables, reviews, and budgets. The project objective includes project completion on-time, within the planned budget and with the expected level of quality, maintenance excellent safety and environmental performance and maintenance stakeholder support and confidence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all phases of data centre construction project, coordinate all stakeholders in this regard.
• Lead and support the project team to prepare project execution plan and other project plans and procedures in terms of cost, schedule, risk, QA/QC, change, communication, HSE in collaboration with other stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on project progress, financials and key aspects.
• Monitor the approved project budget and provide oversight.
• Follow long lead procurement against programme
• Analyse technical information and provide recommendations to support solutions.
• Create and apply best practices to identify and incorporate cost-effective solutions for the strategic and tactical delivery.
• Ensure quality standards is adhered to in the design, implementation, and testing phases.
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders and chair periodic project meetings to facilitate project progression.
• Assess and manage project risks, provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards on the construction site.
  
  

Candidate Specification

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience and in-depth knowledge in project management standards and best practices of data center industry in Turkiye.
• Strong project management, leadership, and people management skills
• Advanced proficiency in MS Project or similar project management software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Fluent in English and Turkish.
  
  

It would be preferable but not required to also have the following specifications:

• Master’s degree in project management, PMP certification or similar project management certification
• Experience working on international projects
• Knowledge on Uptime Institute Tier Certification process
