Product Designer

Description

One of TEKsystems largest banking clients is looking to hire a Product Designer to join their Experience Design team within Wealth Management. This person will be supporting a number of high visibility projects related to the authenticated app experience for Self-Directed Investing and High Net Worth Clients.

This role requires product design expertise; close collaboration with content, product and development teams; and the ability to proactively uncover opportunities to bring our client's digital customer experiences to the next level.

As a Product Designer, here’s what you’ll do:

• Own design strategy and delivery (research, journey mapping, workshops, wireframing, prototyping and testing, pixel-perfect visual design delivery)
• Support cross-functional agile teams to create industry-leading sales journeys
• Operate on teams and projects based in Canada and the US
• Work closely with UX researchers, product owners, digital managers, content designers, the design system team, and other stakeholders
• Use a comprehensive understanding of interaction design theory, visual design theory, research data and best practices to inform design decisions
• Design purposeful and data-driven solutions that are scalable, flexible, and intentional
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the broader UX team by holistically improving the way we approach our craft
• Provide a systems-thinking lens to abstract and interconnected problems
• Pair and collaborate with other Designers by sharing best practices, ideation techniques, and usability principles
• Promote and practice open communication and contribute to a transparent and collaborative team culture
  
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

What makes you a great fit?

• Degree in Experience Design, Graphic Design or other relevant education
• Minimum of 4-6+ years’ UX/UI design experience
• Firm understanding of responsive web and mobile design
• Expertise in either visual design or interaction design, plus experience and continued growth in the other discipline
• In-depth knowledge of UX/UI principles, user-centered design, and design thinking
• Experience executing a successful online customer experience using lean/agile design practices
• Proficient with Figma
• Collaborative, team player with strong communication and presentation skills
• Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Familiar with capabilities of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript, Angular)
• In-depth analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Financial industry experience would be an asset
