AI Solutions Engineer (1-year traineeship programme)

This project is with Knovel Engineering, a startup supported by SGInnovate under the PowerX Programme. PowerX is a 12-months traineeship programme designed to enable and create Deep Tech career opportunities for working professionals, combing bespoke training and industry experience.

Knovel Engineering is a tech consulting and solutions provider embodying the spirit of innovation. Knovel Engineering crafts novel AI and technology solutions which shapes tomorrow, deploying cutting-edge technology that builds on cloud computing to proliferate AI, data and analytics solutions tailored to drive innovation and transform businesses.

Overview and purpose:

The ideal candidate is required to understand the user problem statements and develop solutions powered with AI to improve their workflow.

Main objectives:

• To work alongside the engineers to deliver software system (front-end and/or back-end) solutions.
• Integrate AI (Video Analytics/NLP) in solutions
• Involve in research and present on relevant solutions to solve business needs.
• Perform best practice to include unit test in the solutions that the candidate implements
• Ensure that tasks are done and completed within the timeline

Task and duties:

• Develop building blocks component of the software system collaboratively as a team
• Develop front-end solutions via React Typescript
• Develop backend solutions via Golang
• Ensure integrity of the solutions by developing unit test and perform performance testing
• Research, develop and present the findings of relevant solutions on project basis
• Proactive involvement in team discussions to contribute ideas supplemented by POC implementation

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge in Python, Golang, Typescript or other similar object-oriented programming language
• Able to work independently and collaboratively
• Eagerness to learn
• Responsible and have a sense of ownership
