Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Scientist with a strong background in data science research and hands-on experience with machine learning models. The ideal candidate will have a robust statistical foundation, exposure to CI/CD pipelines, and experience working with GitLab for version control. Knowledge of chemistry or related scientific fields is considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and develop data-driven solutions using statistical analysis and machine learning models.
• Design, implement, and optimise machine learning models for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning models into production environments using CI/CD practices.
• Manage and version control code and data models using GitLab.
• Analyse large datasets and derive actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making.
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements, create data solutions, and communicate results effectively.
• Leverage knowledge of chemistry (preferred) in problem-solving and application of data science models to scientific data.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2+ years of data science research experience.
• Machine Learning: Proven experience in building and deploying machine learning models.
• Statistical Background: Strong foundation in statistical methods, probability, and data analysis techniques.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with continuous integration and deployment processes.
• GitLab: Familiarity with version control and collaborative workflows in GitLab.
• Chemistry Knowledge: A plus, especially for projects involving scientific or chemical data.
  
  
  

Skills:

• Proficiency in Python, R, or other programming languages used in data science.
• Experience with libraries such as TensorFlow, or similar.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
