Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to develop secure and efficient solutions across various platforms, with a focus on desktop applications, networking, and system security. This role combines software development, security analysis, and collaboration with hardware teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Windows desktop applications using Microsoft Visual C++.
• Manage version control with GIT and automate tasks using Python scripting.
• Create Shell scripts (e.g., Bash) for system configuration and deployment.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to identify and address security risks.
• Troubleshoot networking issues and ensure robust network security practices.
• Analyse network traffic using tools like Wireshark and collaborate with hardware engineers to define software requirements.
• Debug systems using oscilloscopes and other diagnostic tools.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications and security plans.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Visual C++.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet, USB).
• Proficient in GIT, Python scripting (Django experience is a plus), and Shell scripting.
• Experience using Wireshark for network analysis.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and web micro services.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts.

Additional Information:

• Salary: €70k to €80k (negotiable for the right candidate).
