Head of Cybersecurity (f/m/x)
Job Summary:
- Leading the Entire Cyber Security Department with Strategic Decisions on a Global scale.
- Responsible for managing the global-level cyber security services including the SOC, CSIRT for example. This includes executing cyber assessments such as Pentests for the global Platform.
- Working close with the board as a business partner and other leaders in the organisation designing and implementing an exciting cyber strategy
- Leading a team of 12+ Globally
- Develop a robust cybersecurity strategy that aligns security policies, standards, and practices with regulatory requirements and corporate goals, while promoting a culture that raises security awareness throughout the organization.
- Oversee the strategic direction and operational alignment of cybersecurity, managing two key areas: Cybersecurity Policies & Strategy and Cybersecurity Architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for formulating a robust cybersecurity strategy that includes establishing performance baselines, defining target outcomes, and creating actionable roadmaps to fulfill organizational requirements.
- Continuously monitors the regulatory risk landscape to update policies—such as data protection, access controls, and incident response—ensuring alignment with strategic goals and legal obligations.
- Establish a unified governance framework and standards that outline cybersecurity requirements, assess the criticality of assets and systems, and clarify lines of accountability.
- Engage in the development of processes and guidelines for effective cyber risk governance, while also providing resources and staffing recommendations for the cybersecurity workforce.
- Promote cybersecurity awareness across the organization by educating employees about relevant issues and best practices.
Personal Skills and Professional Experience:
- Work Experience: A minimum of 12+ years in information security, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
- Cybersecurity Expertise: Extensive experience across various cybersecurity domains, including security architecture, incident response, risk management, and policy development.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity technologies such as cloud security, network security, encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and emerging technologies, coupled with strong skills in security analytics and AI.
- Threat Landscape Awareness: Demonstrated ability to stay informed on the evolving threat landscape, regulatory changes, zero trust architecture, cybersecurity frameworks, and trends in security automation.
- Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications, including CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor).
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity, with a preference for a Master's Degree in Cybersecurity.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Skilled at aligning individuals and key stakeholders with diverse perspectives to achieve organizational goals and make informed decisions.
- Communication Skills: Possesses strong communication abilities essential for effective coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Talent Development: Prioritizes the growth of others through coaching, constructive feedback, exposure opportunities, and challenging assignments.
- Problem-Solving Orientation: Exhibits a proactive problem-solving mindset, complemented by strong interpersonal and intercultural skills.
